Ceremony | Jaguar Spirit
I would like to introduce my column, Ceremony, on the Jaguar Spirit, Mayan Calendar site.
I
find the ancient Mayan Calendar system to complement the Medicine Wheel
Teachings in my book SPIRIT TALK, each, one of the worlds great
'Medicine' systems and each anchored deeply within the heartland of the
Americas and therefore deep within our bone, fiber, blood and nerve.
I
hope you enjoy Ceremony and visit me on Jaguar Spirit, explore the site
and on my website for current arts events, schedules, articles and
Spirit Driven News to be found here, upon and within.

Minisa shares a painting by her father, renowned artist Woody Crumbo – her first and most influencial art teacher. Woodrow Wilson “Woody” Crumbo (January 21,1912-April 4, 1989) was a Citizens Band Potawatomi artist, flute maker and dancer. His paintings are held by The Gilcrease Museum, the Philbrook Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Smithsonian Institution, the San Francisco Museum of Art, the Koshare Indian Museum, the Wichita Indian Center and many others.
A 1978 inductee into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Crumbo became an ‘ambassador of good will’ for Oklahoma in 1982 under appointment by Governor George Nigh.
Minisa produced a video, “Spirit Talk – The Life and Work of Woody Crumbo” commemorating his 100th Anniversary, available with more information on her website. A book of Woody Crumbo art, produced by the Gilcrease Museum, is also available at: minisacrumbo.com

The Spring Circle of Life
POST: February 26, 2016 – 9 Wind/IK The Spring Circle of Life
Bozho, Breathers of Integrity,
It is a 9 IK day … Crafting a Spiritual Press Release … and Here, today and indeed during all days of this season, we find ourselves within a Spring Circle of Life ... a time when certain spirit beings of growth return to answer our song and call of partnership which is voiced and carried by our sacred breath.
Call and response ceremonies, together with intention,
tradition and structures of disciplined observation and repetition
remain core avenues of mind, heart, body and spirit communication.
Deep beneath the late winter covers of the Mother Earth can be heard the
faint visceral stirrings of breath, heartbeat and blood … life stirring
within the dens of the young bear moon … green onion shoots emerging
straight and strong bringing blood medicine … and maple tree blood rising
to help us remember the sweetnesses of life. Continue Reading

A young boy sun and a young girl earth arrive at the party for the annual Springtime play date …
Upon reentering the dream-sleep this morning and delving for meaning, nothing had come forward. Immediately upon awakening and remembering to ask the two principal questions, who are you and what do you want? I am revisited by the young boy who tells me: ‘I am the young boy sun, would you show me around and tell me what is going on? And so, with that sacred charge… we agree to host… he will be told the stories… and, also told the stories about our best friend, the young girl earth ... Continue Reading

The Service of Initiation and of Remembering that we are Sacred Beings
POST: February 5, 2016 – 1 Crocodile/IMIXThe Service of Initiation and of Remembering that we are Sacred Beings
As we are upon the cusp of, initiating and moving within a new TZOLKIN of 260 days, inaugurated by the powerful 1 Imix, let us take this time, pausing to once again, Be Breathed Alive into the Sacred Stream of the collective and personal Evolution. Let us pause to renew and strengthen the service of breath with the intention of storing and remembering, remembering breath, until each movement of the bellows of our lungs become a conscious partnering of this precious gift of life with that of the giver, THE MASTER OF ALL BREATH, THE CREATOR. This first, continuous and ultimately final activity of life as we know it as the two-leggeds then has the opportunity to become a river of life and a sacred umbilicus by which we can know both supported movement and the sacred security of identified focus. For it is recognized that movement (the flowing breath River) and space (the sacred focus of birth origin) create TIME. WithIn that TIME, Conscious, grateful and willing participation in the service of breath presents the initial and magnificent, ever present, Service of Initiation ... Continue Reading

Ceremony | Jaguar Spirit
Greetings,
I would like to announce that I have been invited to become a regular contributor to a Mayan Calendar site written by Debra Malmos - Jaguar Spirit and published by Mayan Majix.
The column will appear every 13 days beneath the Ceremony heading. It will reflect personal, seasonal interpretations of the Medicine Wheel Teachings as it interfaces with another ancient tradition, the Mayan Calendar.
I have long been a student of the Calendar and identify as a Daykeeper.
The Medicine Wheel Teachings structure will always provide a non-competitive place for all beings and systems. Reflective interface will contribute interest and information toward building positive and Universal synergy between various understandings and modalities, both codified and non-codified.
I invite you to view the complete Jaguar Spirit blog. Immediate, current and fresh Mayan Calendar information is published daily and may be subscribed to for daily mail. Jaguar Spirit is a powerful and inspiring visit to an ancient tradition.
