Summer Drum

The Summer Drum design is now blocked in with the 4 sacred berries,
the strawberry, blackberry, raspberry and blueberry.
The inside rim is painted blue for the circle of spirit.
The drum head is anchored by four principle cords which represent the four directions
of the Medicine Wheel Speaks: the Heartbeat of Our Mother Earth.
AHO!

WE WOULD REMEMBER THAT OUR HEART BEAT AND THAT OF OUR MOTHER, THE EARTH, IS ONE.

The drum group offered social and ceremonial songs, and a ‘49’ one from the Anishnabe tradition/powwow, some in Potawatomi and some in English.
The members have each constructed their own drums and regalia. Pics will follow showing a step by step doc of this process.

Global Burner Days by Jaguar Woman

Contribution by Jaguar Woman about Global Burner Days:
Greetings Kin,

Some questions have been raised about Global Burner days, so I wanted to offer some insight for discernment from the Intentions that were held by the Maya when they held fire ceremonies. All the Holy Celebration days were established with a specific Intention - each has its own. The "Global Burner" Fire Ceremonies are different - all held for the same purpose and intention (to burn off karma and restore harmony in relationships).

There are only 4 Global Burners in the Tzolk'in round. They occur every 65 days, one in each season of the 260 days. There is not a Global Burner for every month of the Gregorian calendar, and there is no Global Burner in July 2018. FYI - we each have our own Personal Burners too, 4 of them. Your own Mayan birthday is a personal burner. The rest of your own personal burners are 65 days apart and will show up on the same Tone number as your birthday (you could count them out on the Tzolk'in calendar.

Below are the dates and Kin of the next 4 Global Burners:
4 Sun/Ahau, (September 1, 2018)
4 Serpent/CHICCHAN (November 5, 2018)
4 Dog/OC, (January 1, 2019)
4 Eagle/MEN, (March 15, 2019)

The next Holy Day celebrated by the Maya with a fire ceremony:

For consideration, if someone was wanting to schedule a fire ceremony in July, 8 Serpent/CHICCHAN may be one of the most powerful days for it in the Tzolk'in round. However, NOT AS A BURNER. The Intention for fire on this day is ALREADY RESERVED as a Celebration of CHICCHAN (Serpentine Day).

The Whole Power available to draw on 8 Chicchan would be lost in a fire for a personal purpose of burning our own residual energy. It holds far greater power in the Intention that's been held by the Maya on this KIN for so many years. You might think of it energetically, as using a day that was meant for bringing appreciation and and offering to Fire ... but instead, using it as a day to bring all your prayer requests for things you want to get rid of. :)  A Higher, more Powerful Intention for that celebration is already in place.

July 28, 8 Serpent/CHICCHAN, Serpentine Day, is reserved by the Maya to celebrate the Gifts of Knowing and Consciousness, Chicchan Power. The fires of 8 CHICCHAN are a Sacred Exchange of Human Honoring CHICCHAN, the Force of Life. It's celebrated as a ceremony that Honors Fire itself.

Considering a July date for a fire held specifically for the purpose to burn off residual energy/karma, it would be better to choose any other day that resides under a Red Day Sign of the East, holding the Element of Fire ... that is not already observed by a fire of another Intention.

8 Serpent/CHICCHAN - might be one of the most Powerful Fire Days on the Tzolk'in. So definitely a day for fire, but solely for the purpose of Honoring Chicchan ... it's Chicchan's day. Chicchan in Tone 8 resides in its zenith position. A fire on this day would be powerful as adding to the many prayers and fires that have been celebrated all under that same intention.

I love you, in lak'ech, Jaguar Woman
