BOZHO NIKAN
greetings,
THE SPRING CEREMONY
THIS day we will consider visiting the natural world of the Mother Earth and
the Father Sky/Sun as a child. we are a walking erect color/s being of the
season, recognizing and celebrating ourselves as a child of the divine
Mother Earth and Father Sky Sun Beings union, our natural parents, and in
doing so we may REMEMBER ourselves and all others, as direct physical issue
of their loving relationship.
in the old honoring language...make the honoring prayer from the GRATEFUL
PLACE, spit or blow into the tobacco 4 times and then 'put down' the gift of
the tobacco being, SE'-MA', onto the Mother Earth.
now, offer honoring tobacco to the Father Sky/Sun in the same way. the
order of offering may differ, just observe and view yourself as Spirit
guided..
take a snapshot of yourself...any way...and see what comes forward. just
you.. as you are to yourself.
WE ARE ALWAYS BECOMING.
tomorrow is the seventh day of the 21 days we have set aside to ask for
and to prepare for the new season and the new endeavors, those both named
and those unnamed.
and now .... we will prepare to mark, honor and celebrate this segment of
consecrated time with a feast or a fast. you may begin thinking of that and
preparing at this time. either way, if it rains or snows, consider
collecting some of the 'NEW WATER', dip a finger into it and touch the top
of your head four times as a personal unification water beings blessing and
then drink some, slowly, slowly, slowly........if it does not rain or snow
honor what water is available to you. you may know of some caught clean
water outside that may be worked with. if there is enough..many things may
be done with it like ritually bathing the head, hair, face, body, eyes,
wrists, cooking, plants....
if the green onions are up, make a tobacco offering FROM THE GRATEFUL
PLACE, say your name and ask permission... and then you may take up a sharp
stone for cutting or use your fingernail for gathering. use no metal. both
the top and root bulb may be cleaned and eaten. you will then have some
first harvest onions for a steamed wild onion meal with scrambled eggs, tofu
and/or hamburger. if no wild onions are available to you select a fresh
green of your choice from the store.
THE FIRST FOOD OF THE SEASON...the wild onions can be one of the first
honoring feasts of the season and in so doing it will be recognized as a
direct give-away from the natural world to ourselves and the other, greens
eaters, towards the strong maintenance of physical life. the wild onions
give-away of their lives is intended to PURIFY and THIN our blood for the
coming season.
..and so, with these ways we re-connect and renew to our earth walks... in
balance and harmony with all sentient and non-sentient beings and observing
our new myths as they evolve, unfold and reveal themselves woven by our
BREATHS into the warp and woof of OURS and ALL others lives.
HAU! and AHO!
